Can Obama Repel 'Swift Boat'-Style Attacks?
I'm delighted (thrilled!) to hear that the Obama camp has a few rapid-response tactics up their sleeves, but I really wanted to post this, because this is such a cute picture of him. /shallowness
Can Obama Repel 'Swift Boat'-Style Attacks?
David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist, tells NEWSWEEK that the Illinois senator won't let himself be "Swift Boated" like John Kerry in 2004. "He's not going to sit there and sing 'Kumbaya' as the missiles are raining in," Axelrod said. "I don't think people should mistake civility for a willingness to deal with the challenges to come."

Who needs swift boat when the media is willing to flog Rev Wright all day long, every day?
And today my co-worker said "I don't know anything about him except that he is an elitist."
Sigh.

This election is making me crazy. I am opposed to both Obama and Wright, but not for the phony (in my opinion) reasons cranked out by the media.
This election has done much to emphasize why I am not a Democrat. The candidate I kind of liked is acting like an idiot, and the candidate I didn't like has done nothing to make me change my mind.
