Elkit

Makes me nauseous just thinking about it.

Me, too, Elkit. I've been made physically ill by it since the first rumblings of -- well, I was going to say South Dakota, but if I were truly being honest, I would say Election 2000. ("election," that is)

The Fat Lady Sings

Jesus. I mean, Jesus - that women have to think of these things. I remember hearing about Jane - about the underground abortion movement. And that blogger is right - it may be the only way for some. Jesus.

David

This is entirely too risky for the public to attempt. Keep abortion safe and legal.

TFLS and David, I know. I'm frightened out of my mind that it may come to this for some women. I read about Jane in class NEVER THINKING that in my lifetime we'd return to it. It seemed some awful, not-so-distant past, a mistake in society that we'd progressed beyond. I don't even have the emotional energy to laugh sardonically at that. I'll always be shocked that women's lives are so expendable that medical procedures can be debated. It's insane and, frankly, fascist.

Brian R.

By any means NECESSARY!

If it weren't *necessary* to do it your self people wouldn't. Insane right wingers have made it necessary. How many women will have to die before the all US citizens demand safe and legal abortions in the 21st century?
