Nicely done! Tom DeLay's House of Scandal at the DCCC.
And more good news:
Earle Subpoenas Former DeLay Campaign Aide.
A former campaign manager of Rep. Tom DeLay who also ran an organization linked to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff was subpoenaed by a Texas prosecutor Monday.
Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle filed documents in Austin seeking records from Robert G. Mills in connection with a probe of DeLay, who is awaiting trial in Texas on money laundering charges.
Earle wants information about a $500,000 political contribution made in 1999 by the National Republican Congressional Committee to the U.S. Family Network, a now-disbanded nonprofit advocacy group for conservative ideas. Mills, DeLay's 1996 campaign manager, was president of the U.S. Family Network.
The Washington Post reported that donations to U.S. Family Network came from clients of Abramoff, who has pleaded guilty to federal charges in a congressional corruption investigation.
You know, let's sic my main man Paddy Fitz on this! Let him clean up this whole sordid mess. One needs a degree in Physics to get a handle on this galaxy-sized sphere of influence. Ptooie.

As a point of interest - I learned today that the same lawyer that defended that crazy rich Texan - the one who murdered his neighbor and was then acquitted to everyone's shock - is the same lawyer defending Delay. I think that says something about Delay, don't you?
By the way - congrats on your Koufax nomination. It’s well deserved.

Hi, TFLS. I keep thinking "how bad can Tom Delay be?" because his antics are practically cartoonish in their villainy. The more I hear, the more I realize he is that bad. I am sincerely fascinated by the smiling (teeth baring?), patient persona he projects publicly. How does one do this -- smile at grandmothers beatifically while ruthlessly grabbing power and ruining lives behind closed doors?
Thank you for your kind words re: the Koufax Awards. Right back at you. I've so enjoyed reading your writing. That list is chock full of blogs I love! =)
