Note to Men
This is a good start.
Viggo Mortensen blasts President Bush.
“I’m not anti-Bush; I’m anti-Bush behavior,” Mortensen told Progressive magazine. “In other words, I’m against cheating, greed, cruelty, racism, imperialism, religious fundamentalism, treason, and the seemingly limitless capacity for hypocrisy shown by Bush and his administration.”
Whoo. Is it hot in here, or is it just him?

UPDATE: Flipping through the new Harper's (Jan 06), I came across the essay, "United They Fall: Why Only Bill Clinton Can Save the UN," by Parag Khanna, which had this passage:
Clinton himself proved beyond any doubt that he is the most widely schooled and topically informed individual on earth. He waxed poetic about the depth of topsoil in Brazil, the use of solar cells to decrease energy consumption at his presidential library, pooled terrorism insurance schemes for investors in Palestine, and reducing the cost of drugs in Africa.
Everytime I see Bill now, it's like this. He's asked a question at some massive public forum (around the globe), and he can go on and on for an hour, bringing in countless complementary ideas. The sustained intellectual firepower! The depth of feeling! The coherence! It's enough to make a grrl weep. Dammit, Bill.

I think the religious right "gets" it when I say I love the president, but hate the presidency.
(New anti-Bush rants and kitty pics up at my place!)
