Jon takes it to Christopher Hitchens in the only display I've ever seen of someone getting the better of ol' Hitch.
Oh my God, I could propose to Jon Stewart right now. I'm so happy that I'm not even going to go on and on and on and on about how the only serious television news reporting and analysis in this country is done by a comedian on a fake news show. Not even going to mention it because I'm smiling so much.
Video at Crooks and Liars, as per usual.

Not to rain on your parade, but didn't Jon recently give Santorum an easy ride...? That's what I a-heard, at any rate... ;)

Sour Duck, he did! Crooks and Liars has that video, too. I'm not even going to pretend I wasn't disappointed, but because I love Jon so much I'm going to take a teensy moment to rationalize: Jon's the ONLY person on TV calling anybody on their crap, so it seems to me that when he doesn't (and, in effect, behaves like the rest of the media), it seems a particularly painful failing. I do wish he'd called out Santorum more directly on his bizarrely intolerant view of the world, but I'm willing to chalk it up to an off-night for Jon. He's usually right on the money.

reSantorum: Even Jon must get bored when shooting fish in a barrel that doesn't even have any water in it, don't you think?
