Amen, Sister!

And the list does indeed go on: I'll add CNN, MSNBC, and Fox to it, as well as Dennis Hastert, David Brooks, and the disgusting Karen Hughes.

Thanks, Diane. In my blind fury, I absolutely cannot believe that I did not indict the entirety of the corporatist media. Your additions are spot on, of course -- Nanny Hughes, in particular.

This episode ain't good for Dim Son any way you cut it, and, you know, I don't think even the compliant media or the WH Comm Office can pull off sliming a dead soldier's mother. Isn't it interesting that it takes a grieving mother -- a palpable symbol, indeed -- to finally train the nation's focus on the utter disconnect w/ this so-called preznit? He is, simply put, a coward and not up to the task of leading, and we can see how horribly injurious this is to our democracy. He cannot face a middle-aged woman standing alone on the street, and we're supposed to believe he's acting in the best interests of that mother's son standing in a battle zone in Falluja? I despise these people.

Meghan

Right on. It makes my skin burn thinking about it. Shame on him. Where is the public disgust? More publicity please. PLEASE.

ae

Meghan, you nailed it: shame on him. It's so elemental that I know, finally, people will not miss the cowardice and arrogance of this. It's inexcusable, and it shows what powers mothers have, you included. Mommybloggers unite!
