Every single time I think that this madministration's craven distortion of our ideals and unparalleled hubris could not possibly stink higher to Heaven, they find a way to be even more atrociously arrogant and single-minded in their pursuit to sh*t on our democracy. Really. Somebody please dial in and try to convince me that this madministration gives one good goddamn about the fundamentals of democracy, not to mention basic decency. Grieving mothers of 24-yr-old soldiers killed in a war of choice, instigated by the (vice) president who has a financial stake in the world's largest oil services company and wants to control the world's 2nd largest oil supply while cementing Israel's "security" in the Middle East, are NOT a threat to national security as they stand peacefully in a ditch on a country road in Texas.

Thanks, Diane. In my blind fury, I absolutely cannot believe that I did not indict the entirety of the corporatist media. Your additions are spot on, of course -- Nanny Hughes, in particular.

This episode ain't good for Dim Son any way you cut it, and, you know, I don't think even the compliant media or the WH Comm Office can pull off sliming a dead soldier's mother. Isn't it interesting that it takes a grieving mother -- a palpable symbol, indeed -- to finally train the nation's focus on the utter disconnect w/ this so-called preznit? He is, simply put, a coward and not up to the task of leading, and we can see how horribly injurious this is to our democracy. He cannot face a middle-aged woman standing alone on the street, and we're supposed to believe he's acting in the best interests of that mother's son standing in a battle zone in Falluja? I despise these people.
