Republicans start campaign to keep Hillary out of the White House.
She has not even declared her intention of running for president, but the long shadow of Hillary Rodham Clinton over American politics has already prompted Republicans to train their sights on the former first lady.
The Republican strategist Arthur Finkelstein is reportedly raising $10m (5.3m Pounds Sterling) for a political action committee called Stop Her Now. He aims to prevent Mrs Clinton's re-election to the Senate next year and ultimately thwart any bid for the White House.
Stop Her Now is a so-called "527" advocacy group, similar to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth group, which helped undermine presidential candidate John Kerry in November's election. The groups began to emerge last year after campaign funding reform prevented donors giving unlimited sums directly to political parties.
Mr Finkelstein, an adviser to the New York state governor, George Pataki and the Israeli prime minister, Ariel Sharon, is a controversial figure within his own party.
He raised eyebrows by warning against the influence of evangelical Christians. He is also openly gay, and startled some party supporters when headlines at the weekend disclosed that he recently married his male long-term partner.
Finkelstein again! Yes, yes, I know that there are other things afoot, principally how skeert the Repugs must be of a Hillary campaign, but the language! Calling all deconstructionists and semioticians! "Stop Her Now," whoo. I could go on that for weeks. Her. How sinister! (Or not.) Beware the succubus! (Or not.) The witch will eat your children! (Or not.)
It's hard to believe that in these advanced (sic) years of human evolution something as transparent, insipid, and anti-woman as this could pass the giggle test, let alone the Dark Political Overlord Come to Instill Fear of Senator Vagina Dentata Market Research test. [Um, yes, obviously it did pass that POCtIFoSVD market research test, which obviously proves that we are not at an advanced stage in human (intellectual, anyway) evolution after all.]
Idiots.

Call it what you will but if she runs in 2008 she's toast. Here continued tenure in the Senate is not a given either

Hi, Scott. Thanks for dropping by. I do not know how Clinton would fare as a presidential candidate in 2008, but I do believe her Senate seat is pretty secure. Then again, nothing's a given in American politics, besides fearmongering, I suppose.

The observation regarding how FEARFUL the Repugs appear to be over a possible HILLARY CANDIDACY is right on. FINKELSTEIN (don't call me FRRANKENSTEIN) and his ILK are generally FEARFUL of LIFE ITSELF anyway, so it makes sense that they would focus their well-honed (and well-known) DECEPTION AND PREVARICATION SKILLS on a WOMAN who is clearly SMARTER and MORE CAPABLE than anyone they might put forth, including, but not limited to, PATAKI, FRIST, RICE, CHENEY or any of the other CRETINS currently dominating the limited thought processes of the RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY OF IDIOTS.

I was hoping to see someone go off on the "her" in "Stop Her Now." Any reference to the VD in POCtIFoSVD is good enough for me.

The observation regarding how FEARFUL the Repugs appear to be over THE Bush presidency is right on. Dean (don't call me a maniac) and his ILK are generally FEARFUL of LIFE ITSELF anyway, so it makes sense that they would focus their well-honed (and well known) DECEPTION AND PREVARICATION SKILLS on inocent people who are clearly SMARTER and MORE CAPABLE than anyone they might put forth, including, but not limited to, PALOSI, HILLARY, REID, SHARPTON, JACKSON, DEAN, and let us not forget the smarter than all thou; SHEEN, ROSIE, HARRELSON, or any other CRETINS currently dominating the limited thought prosesses of the LEFT WING CONSPIRACY OF IDIOTS.

Today the lottery is as integrated with our lives as the internet or chocolate. Although in this modern, fast paced world where we simply don't have time to mess around, we have chopped a full syllable off of the word, and just refer to it as lotto. Despite this questionable phonetic practice, lotto is part of the daily life in a large chunk of the world.
